White Pepper adds an earthy, mild pepper flavour to light coloured foods. Ground White pepper is the whole white berry of the perennial vine Piper nigrum, in which the fruit has been selected early for colour and the outer husks removed by slow soaking in water. It has a mild, more delicate flavour than Black Pepper.

Sysco and McCormick are committed to providing you with only the highest quality spices and seasonings available. From the field to your table, we are dedicated to ensuring our Sysco Imperial/McCormick products meet or exceed quality and safety standards.
Ground spices should be added just prior to the end of cooking time, as they release their flavour quickly.
White Pepper may be substituted for black in any recipe. Use in egg dishes, potatoes, white sauces, light-coloured soups, fish, tuna, shrimp and chicken salad, and clam chowder. Use to spice up mashed potatoes. Black Pepper is the whole dried fruit of the pepper plant while white pepper is just the seed of the fruit; the fruit skin has been removed.
